Deep Conditioning Hair TreatmentsTested by: Linda Buttle
Take a minute to assess the condition of your hair. If you find it feels dry and brittle, is suffering from breakage and split ends, has been chemically treated, is unmanageable, or worse still all of the above, then you would certainly benefit from trying a specialist hair treatment.
Deep conditioning hair treatments or hair masks as they are also known, are a quick fix to help rescue damaged hair, but more important than that, used regularly they can prevent hair from having any of these problems in the first place. Start by using a detoxifying shampoo to get rid of any product build up that could be responsible for dulling your hair. If you feel such a product would be too harsh for your hair then opt for a moisturising shampoo instead. Once you've thoroughly rinsed out the shampoo apply your chosen treatment like one of the ones listed at the end of this article and leave on for the recommended time. As soon as the product is removed you should feel a difference in the texture, shine and manageability.
The important thing to stress at this stage is that poor hair can be due to a number of different causes. If it's a continuing problem it's worth changing the hair products you use and looking at your styling regime and diet to see where improvements can be made.
